The Alberta Railway Museum, located conveniently in Edmonton, Alberta, is an educational stop on any Canadian train trips. Run by the Alberta Pioneer Railway Association, the museum is open on weekends during the spring and summer. Focusing on the history of Canadian National Railways and the Northern Alberta Railways, the ARM features railway equipment and is built to replicate a small railway terminal and station.

The museum features both passenger and freight trains from the Canadian National Railway and Northern Alberta Railway, as well as Auxiliary train and various cars and locomotives, including an all-steel snow plow car. On long weekends during the summer, visitors can even see a few of the trains operate on short tracks at the museum.

When traveling on train trips across Canada, who can pass up a chance to learn the history of train travel in Canada and Alberta from one of the finest museums focused on the subject. Visitors can also see Canada's most extensive collection of telegraphy equipment in the Telegraph Office display.

Throughout the year the museum has special events that visitors can attend, as well as special projects that the museum undertakes. Currently, the museum is renovating and repairing several of their cars and locomotives.
