Attend Buskerfest to see memorable street performances

Want to travel to Canada?
Let us help you plan the trip of a lifetime and discover the breathtaking beauty on Canadian railway tours.
From August 23-26, any travelers whose train tours of Canada are making a stop in the nation’s largest city can swing by the St. Lawrence Market Neighborhood for the Scotiabank Buskerfest. Over the course of this four-day event, attendees will thrill at the sight of fearless acrobats and share a few laughs with comedic clowns.
In addition to providing a venue for local street performers, this festival welcomes buskers from far and wide. With hundreds of artists in attendance, Buskerfest has become the largest event of its kind in North America, according to its website.
Among the individuals who will be performing at this year’s event is Chris Capchart, a veteran busker who got his start on the streets of New York City 40 years ago. He will hold an interactive comedy magic show, while the zany Checkerboard Guy will host a humorous variety show charged with manic energy. Travelers will get to see why The Checkerboard Guy has been compared to Pee Wee Herman and a live-action version of "The Simpsons."
