Don't miss out on the beautiful fall foliage season in Ontario this year
Fall foliage in Canada is known to draw visitors from all over the world. Not only is the weather perfect for many outdoor activities, but it is highlighted by the beautiful reds and oranges that cover the mountains.
Ontarios foliage season reaches its peak between mid-September and early October. With more than 330 parks covering 9 million hectares there is no shortage of things to explore. Take a hike through the colorful forests or watch the leaves fall from a canoe; no matter what you do, the view is sure to be splendid.
Visit the Algonquin Provincial Park, which spans 3,000 square-miles, to see an explosion of colors. The park is popular for hiking and camping, due to its great location and trails.
There are also many different festivals to see during the foliage season across Canada. The War of 1812 Rendezvous & Fur Trade Celebration takes place at the end of September in Sault Saint Marie. The festival takes place in two of the oldest buildings in Ontario and you will get the opportunity to witness cannon demonstrations and learn more about the War of 1812.
