From October 18-23, the city of Vancouver will host a celebration of literature that is sure to be a very fun event for individuals on Canadian train vacations. Over the course of the six-day festival, dozens of events and activities are planned that will allow attendees to experience the amazing world of reading and writing.
In addition to the numerous educational workshops that will be offered, the festival will also host interviews with world-renowned authors and performances of popular plays and readings. For instance, on Tuesday, October 18, A Home for the Chimps will be featured on one stage while Fitting Into the Family, another popular play, will be performed by the waterfront.
Canadian train tour travelers who wish to meet some of their favorite playwrights and authors may be excited to hear that Dermot Healy, an Irish novelist; Madeleine Thien, a Canadian writer of short stories; and Cate Kennedy, a British author will all be in attendance.
