EASTBOUND ITINERARYDay 1 Your Canadian Train Trip Begins – arrive Vancouver
A west coast vibe all its own, Vancouver has the relaxing and cool atmosphere that you were wishing for. Enjoy your afternoon sipping hot coffee in a nearby café and your evening dining at a premier restaurant.
Day 2 On the Whistler Mountaineer – Vancouver to Whistler
The cool and crisp morning air paired with the smell of freshly squeezed orange juice awakens your senses as you board the Whistler Mountaineer. An outdoor observation car is only a few steps from your seat and spending time here as you wind along the shores of Howe Sound is the ideal start to your Canada train trip.
Day 3 On the Rocky Mountaineer – Whistler to Quesnel
A deep wail sounds from the whistle and the smell of fresh fruit, pancakes and hot tea wafts through your train car as the Rocky Mountaineer pulls out of the station. As you reach the Cariboo Plateau, you can nearly see the ‘gold rushers’ crouched near the water rhythmically working their pans. Your train pulls into Quesnel for your overnight stay.
Day 4 On the Rocky Mountaineer – Quesnel to Jasper
Your Canadian train trip forges ahead to the towering Rocky Mountains and Jasper National Park. Have your camera ready to capture any passing wildlife - many moose are known to live in this region.

Day 5 the Icefields Parkway – Jasper to Banff
Welcome the morning and relax in comfort as you journey south along the Icefields Parkway. You are cruising along one of the most scenic routes in the world - so bring a camera. The stunning sights of the vast Athabasca Glacier and pristine Lake Louise have you speechless. Arrive in Banff eager to see the most bustling town in the Canadian Rockies.
Day 6 In the Canadian Rockies – Explore Banff
Today is your opportunity on your across Canada train adventure to get out into nature, explore, and see why Banff is such a popular town. Venture up Sulphur Mountain by gondola today for a panoramic view of Bow Valley - the mountains surround you; the view of the pristine wilderness below with the river glistening in the distance is breathtaking.
Return to Jasper for a restful night. Tomorrow you continue your travels across Canada.
Day 7 to 9 Continue Eastward Across Canada – onboard the Canadian
An intimate cabin with a large picture window and seats that turn into a comfortable bed awaits you on t he Canadian train . Leave the majestic mountain peaks of the Rockies behind and enter Canada’s sprawling prairies. The rich yellows and golds of the prairies are a beautiful contrast to the strikingly blue sky.
Day 10 Enter Canadian Lake Country – arrive in Toronto
Stepping out of the train station, the sights, sounds and tastes of Canada’s largest city welcome you. The CN tower pierces the skyline, a saxophonist plays jazz tunes on a corner and the spicy scent of Thai food ignites your appetite. Get out and explore Toronto!
Day 11 Roaring Waters – tour Niagara Falls
A waterproof poncho - the stylish uniform of the Maid of the Mist – keeps you dry as you venture so close to the falls that the spray cools your face. A scenic drive takes you to the charming Niagara-on-the-Lake - the ideal place to unwind by strolling through the local shops.
Day 12 With Fond Memories Made – depart Toronto
Much too soon, you leave the fresh cool air and colorful sights of Canada behind as your across Canada train vacation comes to an end.
